Energy production is big business in the Middle East, meaning oil and gas companies are among the more lucrative in the world. Figures change constantly, but it's estimated that the Middle East holds around 61 percent of the world's oil, and 41.3 percent of the world's gas reserves.
When you consider problems in the global oil market, have you considered the effect of a lack of oil and gas workforce has on the market?
Dubai has set the wheels in motion to develop a strategy to diversify power generation sources and improve efficiency. The government of Dubai want to ensure that by 2030, there is an adequate energy supply. The plans of boosting power in Dubai are just a small part of major plans to boost power in the Persian Gulf.
