Oil and gas companies in the Middle East

Energy production is big business in the Middle East, meaning oil and gas companies are among the more lucrative in the world. Figures change constantly, but it's estimated that the Middle East holds around 61 percent of the world's oil, and 41.3 percent of the world's gas reserves.

As such, Next Generation Oil and Gas Middle East lists the oil and gas companies in the Middle East.

ADNOC - Abu Dhabi National Oil Company - ADNOC was established in 1971, to operate in all areas of the oil and gas industry and since then has steadily broadened its activity establishing companies and subsidiaries and creating an integrated oil and gas industry inAbu Dhabi.State owned, ADNOC, one of the world's leading oil companies, produces over 2.7 million barrels of oil per day.

TAQA - TAQA was founded in 2005 with the object of becoming a global leader in the energy sector. TAQA is 51 percent owned by Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority (ADWEA) which is a government authority and which provides long-term stability for our company.

Lamprell Energy Ltd - Lamprell has played a prominent role in the development of the offshore industry in the Arabian Gulf for over 30 years, in later years providing specialised services to the onshore and offshore oil and gas industry.

Petropars - Petropars is a developer of exploration, exploitation and production in upstream, downstream and peripheral industries of oil and gas. Petropars was awarded the development of Phase 1 of the South Pars Gas Field with responsibilities ranging from engineering, procurement, construction to installation of facilities.

Arabian Drilling Company (ADC) - Arabian Drilling Company, a joint venture between the Industrialization and Energy Services Company (IESCO) and the Services Petroliers Schlumberger S.A. ADC has operated Onshore and Offshore drilling Rigs in Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, the Partitioned Neutral Zone with Kuwait and in the past in Yemen & UAE. ADC's Clients include Saudi Aramco, AGOC/KGOC in Khafji, Total in UAE and Exxon & Hunt in Yemen.

ASRY Offshore Services - ASRY Offshore Services, a full range of fabrication and engineering support services to the Oil and Gas Industries.

Azerbaijan International Operating Company (AIOC) - A consortium of 10 major international oil companies and SOCAR, is developing the Azeri, Chirag and deep-water portion of Gunashli fields in the Azerbaijan sector of the Caspian Sea. The consortium includes BP and Chevron.

National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC) - The National Iranian Oil Company, under the direction of the Ministry of Petroleum of Iran, is an oil and natural gas producer and distributor headquartered in Tehran. It was established in 1951. Petroleum Intelligence Weekly ranks NIOC as the world's second largest oil company, after Saudi Arabia's state-owned Aramco. Current NIOC production capacities include over four million barrels of crude oil and in excess of 500 million cubic meters of natural gas per day.

Pars Oil & Gas Company (POGC) - Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC), a subsidiary of National Iranian Oil Company (NIOC), was established in 1998. POGC's mandate is the development of the South Pars gas field and North Pars gas field respectively. POGC utilizing modern management knowledge, tools and techniques as well as experienced seasoned managers, specialists and experts in the execution of oil and gas projects, has thus far taken major steps in the realization of NIOC's objectives.

SOCAR - State Oil Company of Azerbaijan - State Oil Company of Azerbaijan, is the government-owned entity responsible for all aspects of exploration and development related to oil and gas fields both onshore and offshore for the Republic of Azerbaijan.

Despite the vast oil and gas resources however, many oil companies are aware that they are built on finite resources and as such, many of them have been investigating possible renewable alternatives.
