
The Arab Shipbuilding & Repair Yard (ASRY), has seen a rapid growth in the offshore market in the Arabian Gulf region and based upon its track record and expertise in the repair and conversion of specialised offshore vessels and rigs, established a separate operating company in 2008: ASRY Offshore Services (AOS).
Parent company, ASRY, commenced operations in 1977 with 500,000 dwt dry dock and two jetties, from birth as a super tanker repair yard, ASRY has developed into a world leader in the repair and conversion of all ship types.
AOS provides integrated services to the worldwide offshore sector, we plan, design and deliver complex repair and construction projects from our facility in the Kingdom of Bahrain, we divide our business into the following principal areas of operation:-

Facilities
Our facility is one of the most modern and best equipped repair facilities in the world:-
Dry Dock: No 1 Dock is a 500,000 dwt capacity graving dock with length overall of 375 metres and an overall width of 75 metres, and is capable of handling multiple dockings. Equipped with a 100 tonne and 15 tonne capacity cranes.
Slipways: Twin slipways each with a dry berth length of 255 metres, are ideal for accommodating offshore support vessels, tugs, supply vessels and general cargo vessels up to 5,000 tonnes displacement (approx 15,000 dwt). Vessels with a draft up to 4.5 metres can be slipped under normal tidal conditions. The slipways are serviced by two 80 tonne capacity cranes.
Floating Docks: Two floating docks - No 2 Dock has an overall length of 252 metres and a clear width of 44 metres, lifting capacity 33,000 tonnes. No 3 Dock has an overall length of 227 metres and a clear width of 40 metres, lifting capacity 30,000 tonnes. Each equipped with 3 cranes of 12 tonne capacity.
Jetties, Berths and Fabrication hard standing: A total berthing length of 2,600 metres and 30,000 square metres of fabrication space, all areas having extensive craneage. A new 1.2km repair quay, with alongside water depth of 12m, is scheduled to be in service in 2011, adjacent to the quay, a 300,000 square metre fabrication area with load out quay capable of 3,000 te end loading is under construction.
Workshops: Fully equipped workshops across all trades capable of undertaking every aspect of engineering - steel preparation and fabrication, engineering and machining, hydraulics, pipe repairs and production, electrical and instrumentation and blasting & painting.
