Our mission is to improve our customers’ business performance and peace of mind by delivering leading edge automation and control solutions, equipment and services.
More than 11,000 Honeywell automation systems have been installed since Honeywell introduced distributed control system (DCS) technology in 1974, representing a $15 billion installed base – one of the largest in the automation industry. As one of 30 select companies represented in the Dow Jones Industrial Average, Honeywell has the financial strength and worldwide reach to work for you today.
Honeywell has been operating in the Middle East for many years. Our first contract was for a control equipment project for Aramco in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in 1946. As we did then, Honeywell treats its customers as partners, providing them quality products and continuous service.
The Middle East headquarters in Abu Dhabi were set up in November 1976 and comprise more than 90 industry experts with regional offices in Saudi Arabia, Kuwait, Oman, Egypt, Qatar and Bahrain. The regional headquarters houses the Sales, Aftermarket Services and Project Execution departments.
Honeywell ME has grown during recent years, in fact doubling in size over the past three years and now employing more than 150 engineers across the Middle East to become the region’s leading supplier of advanced control technology for the oil and gas, hydrocarbon processing, power generation, refining, chemical and petrochemical industries.
Honeywell offers the latest wireless solutions through its OneWireless product. We also help customers on Industrial Security issues – which include both cyber and physical security solutions. Our Advanced Solutions team – made of 40 engineers across all our regional offices – has worked with the largest businesses across the region to offer them the latest technological advances in Simulation, Operator Training and Manufacturing Execution Systems.
To help manage its growth, Honeywell has built a new Integration Centre in Abu Dhabi to verify and test clients’ systems. This technical exercise was previously performed only in the United States and Europe. With 1,000 square meters in Mussafah, in addition to an existing 750 sq m facility at the Head Office, it is the only one of its kind in the Middle East and allows customers to complete their verification and acceptance-testing processes closer to home instead of travelling to the U.S. or Europe.
The Honeywell Middle East Automation College is further proof of Honeywell’s increasing presence in the region. Established in 1995 in Abu Dhabi as a means to enhance local capabilities, the college is a world-class training centre that trains Honeywell customers, staff and university students in process control. The training centre houses state-of-the-art equipment and brings the latest technologies, knowledge and experience from Honeywell’s global resource pool.
In 2004 Honeywell Process Solutions hosted its first Middle East Users’ Group conference in Bahrain. This customer motivated event attracted more than 100 users of Honeywell systems, products and services from the entire region. The Users’ Group conference is now an annual event and takes place in various cities across the Middle East and is run by a Steering Committee whose members come from Honeywell customer companies.

Because of Honeywell’s open system approach, third-party legacy systems also can be upgraded and integrated affordably with Honeywell solutions.
Meanwhile, Honeywell Process Solutions continues to work with customers, including Aramco, Adnoc, Zadco, Adgas, Gasco, Adco, KJO, Sabic, Alba, KOC, KNPC, Equate, SEC, QP, Qafco, Qapco, Q-Chem, QVC, PDO, Dolphin Energy Project, GPIC and many more.
